We needed a new projector for our Rotary club, and discovered a bewildering number of options and largely unknown makes online. Personal Projector Ltd gave us some excellent advice and recommended a Pico Genie L700 which is superb. Very easy to use, excellent quality and all for a very reasonable price.
Been using it as a home cinema on the back wall of the living room and in my bedroom (combed ceiling works well). It is really good quality picture and easy to set up the internet and Netflix on it. I tried to link to my computer by cable but couldn’t get it to work - having done some research, I think that is more down to the streaming services not allowing you to mirror to projector.
It is a little noisy but sound quality for films and TV series is good.
Love the large screen I can get.
It is flight hand luggage portable (just) but definitely portable for taking to other locations by car etc.
It would be great if it had a carry case / dust bag / accessories bag when not in use for storage.
I am looking forward to using it more over the Festive period with friends and family.

Regarding the connection to your computer via cable, you’re absolutely right—many streaming services restrict mirroring content to external displays, including projectors. This is the same for every projector or TV so one alternative you might consider is using screen sharing apps or a streaming device (like Chromecast or Fire Stick), which often work around these limitations.
We also appreciate your feedback on the noise level. The projector does use a fan to keep it cool during extended use, which can sometimes be noticeable in very quiet scenes. However, we recommend placing the projector a little further away from your seating area or using external speakers to further minimize any distraction.
Your suggestion for a carry case/dust bag is excellent, and I’ll be sure to pass it along to our team for future improvements.
