The forthcoming Screeneo U5 Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector from Philips, due to be released in March 2023 compares well to the Chiq V8S UST in terms of design, specification and performance.
The Chiq V8S projector is available in Dec-22 and is on special offer and is also available with a further discount if purchased with the amazing Vividstorm ALR floor rising screens or Chiq Fixed frame screens. These are the best screens for UST projectors (see the video below).

Ultimately the Chiq V8S ultra short throw projector is very similar to the Screeneo U5.
The V8S offers higher lumens and a brighter image quality at a lower RRP price than the Philips Screeneo U5 (although currently in Dec 2022 its on special offer price).
The U5 offers a higher Android version (8 v 11) and also benefits from 3D with dolby atmos / vision.
So if you absolutely have to have 3D & Dolby then the U5 is your only choice right now but if you want a similar UST projector now with a brighter image then the V8S is a good choice especially if its coupled with a Vividstorm ALR screen. The bundle deals of a V8S and Vividstorm ALR screen or Chiq screen may work out cheaper without waiting till Spring 2023 for delivery.
