Should I buy the VAVA 4K UST Laser Projector?
- 18 Jan, 2022
The VAVA-LT002, or simply known as the VAVA 4K, was recently released to the UK market December 2021 and is a very pleasing home cinema system available in black or white.
The big change is that it now comes with a full UK warranty all handled from the UK itself which means you no longer need to run the risks of importing directly from China which is ideal when spending this kind of money.
Image wise the VAVA 4K delivers an impressive brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens along with an easy to use SMART TV interface and a powerful 60W Harmon Kardon speaker system.
Overall If you are looking for a one stop shop home cinema with sound, no wires, easy installation in an all-in-one projector, look no further than the new VAVA 4k projector.
The VAVA 4K has stylish, minimalist aesthetics with rounded corners and smooth curves with a designer external fabric.
Build quality is sturdy and excellent and is backed up by a good UK warranty.
The VAVA 4K is fairly portable measuring 107 x 533 x 368 mm (H x W x D) and only weighs 10.6kg.
The remote control offers a minimalist look and is easy to use.
At the rear end of the unit, the VAVA 4K offers:
- Three HDMI inputs with the third supporting ARC
- USB port
- 3.5mm audio output
- 3.5mm AV input
- Ethernet port
The VAVA 4K accepts native 4K signals at up to 60Hz and supports HDCP 2.2 as well as HDR10. It also offers has the option to go wireless with Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity options.
The VAVA features a beautiful 4K UHD resolution with HDR10 support and 85% NTSC colour gamut. However like many 4K projectors on the market today this is achieved this by using a DLP chip with XPR technology which upscales the resolution to 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD).
This method of scaling has been perfected and its hard for the naked eye to tell the difference. It makes you realise that value for money / image on these UST projectors have improved dramatically with a true 4K projector costing triple the amount of the VAVA.
Its high brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens and claimed contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 allows for everyday viewing even in normal daylight conditions, however for best results we would recommend using an Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) screen.
Not only would an ALR screen give you a brighter image in daylight conditions, they also improve the contrast, give you deeper blacks and overall a better image!

Audio / Sound
With powerful 60 watt Harmon/Kardon speakers already built in there is no need to purchase external speakers unless you want a true home theatre setup. The VAVA is capable of decoding Dolby and DTS, plus there are Standard, Theatre and News audio effects settings.
The VAVA 4K also runs off Android 7.1 with the AptoideTV already pre-installed so you can download your own apps directly onto the device. The home page is very clean and easy to navigate and the projector is intuitive to use.
Its also possible to connect a streaming service or dongle via HDMI so you can effectively choose the best SMART TV for you whether its ROKU, Nvidia or Amazon Fire Stick. This also gets around any apps that are outdated or no longer compatible at a later date.
Should I buy the VAVA 4K Projector?
If you are looking for a TV or projector replacement that doesn't take up much room but projects large images or require any installation then we would highly recommend it.
The VAVA 4K is capable of delivering beautiful, bright and colourful large scale images with ease and works well for the average living room. Coupled with an ALR screen it can be used in most bright environments.
If you are looking for alternatives to the Vava 4K projector we would also recommend the CHiQ V8S projector.
